A PSA from Nanuk
I don't know about you, but I kind of feel left out after seeing all the cool people in this 1970s advertisement. The lyricist certainly deserves a golf "clap" for this effort.
My apologies to those viewing this from my net, but the smaller files were pixelated beyond recognition. Footage found at archives.org

Hi nanuk!! I think I saw your settlement on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" I thought I heard Nunavik mentioned. He went out with someone named Charlie in a boat - Charlie was seal hunting. They got one, brought it back and proceeded to dissect it on the kitchen floor. It was a cool looking place (no pun intended) and the people seemed really friendly. Might give the bloody raw seal guts a pass, though.
Phos - thanks for the heads-up. I found the seal clip on-line, but don't recognize the people. Any of you guys out there help me out? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d8EymQPiqk
The kitchen is identical to ours, though I've never served raw seal. Fish, whale and caribou yes, but no seal.
Love the VD movie.... Un tipeu quétaine, non? Hhehehehe
You've got an award on my blog, dear! :)
merlinprincesse - many thanks for the trophy. I shall always treasure it.
I'd like to find out who owned the beautiful Husky in the beginning of the show.
Looks like Charlie Nowkawok or charlie Niviaxie and the video is from Puvungituk
Michael - Thanks. It does look like Charlie Nowkawalk. I'll ask his brother tomorrow.
The video makes it seem almost pleasant, like a great club to belong to.
Marty - it makes me feel left out and excluded. Why can't I be like everyone else?
To All - the video mentioned by the Phosgene Kid was shot in Inukjuak, on the Hudson Bay coast of northern Quebec. I work with the brother of the guy in the clip.
