Happy Mother's Day

I feel sheepish to have put up such a cheesy post on such an important day. But having my own mother as well as the mother of my children to lavish attention upon today, while I also edit 70-odd pages of gobble-di-gook for tomorrow morning before flying and driving 14 hours to Ottawa, I'm really pressed for time.

So call or visit your mother today and let them know you love them and are thankful for their care, guidance and (especially in my case) patience. And for those whose mothers are no longer on this plane of existence, honour their memory.

Mothers of Invention, good choice.

Zappa really epitomizes the wholesome virtues of Motherhood - just ask Moonunit and Dweezle.

Now I better go pay attention to my better half before I get bitch-slapped. My best to your mom and frau.

TPK: I don't know if this was true or not, but any musician signing on to tour with Frank Zappa had to stipulate they wouldn't consume any drugs or alcohol. If true, he was certainly more wholesome than me.

WoD: Zappa had at least two songs dealing with the Arctic: Muktuk Annie and Don't You Eat That Yellow Snow. I am sure that when he was in Montreal he met some of our finest citizens who inspired these immortal songs.

MerlinPrincesse: I'm the one in the back, the handsome one, yes, him.

T&B,etc. Thanks muchly. Hope I have time to post during this road trip.

Frank made 'em sign that so he could have the drugs and alcohol all for himself. Hell, he was so crazy, drugs would have saned him right up!

Are you sure he wasn't in St. John's? We certainly have our share of yellow snow... not now of course.

It was 21 degrees today! Celcius! Woo hoo!

Back to normal tomorrow. Hope everyone here enjoyed their summer.

Haven't heard from you in awhile, hope that a polagriz didn't get you. Still think I am obsessing? They are a big threat to arctic humankind.
